Fourth L/T/T meeting in Perama, Greece

At the end of April , from 22 nd to 28 th April Slovak students, four boys, and two teachers took part in learning, teaching and training activities in Greece.
It was the last project meeting and the host school was 1st Lyceum of Perama. We spent there an interesting week which will stay in our minds and hearts for a long time.
Students presented their schools, countries and towns. They attended workshops where they prepared figures for Greek shadow theatre.
Watching a theatre play performed by students of the Lyceum can be considered as a breathtaking experience. Also foreign students had chance to take a small part in the play.
For all the participants host school prepared a great programme like a cruise along the area of the sea battle of Salamis, guided visit to the Acropolis and the new Museum in Athens, then visit to the archaeological site of Epidaurus- museum and the theatre, and visit to the picturesquue town of Nafplion.
When being at school, students and teachers could attend lessons, where CLIL method was used,
and students started writing their Journey diaries.
On the last day of our stay all of us spent nice moments with our friends at goodbye dinner where we could listen to a concert performed by students groups, also the song of the project I will build a bridge, composed by a Greek teacher John.

 

 

Third LTT meeting in Acquviva delle Fonti, Italy

At the end of November, from 19th to 23rd, the third meeting was held in Italy. The school hosting the students and teachers from partners countries is called Instituto Istruzione Secondaria Superiore ” Rosa Luxemburg”.

From our  school two teachers and two students attended the meeting and spent five days working hard ( doing the quiz about Italian geography, presenting Italian writers, artists, regions ) and also  having fun while playing outdoor games, attending art workshops.The teachers and students had the chance to attend an interesting lesson using CLIL method, which all of  us liked a lot.

Two days were spent by getting to know beautiful towns and cities in the Puglia region. We visited Bari, Otranto, Lecce and Alberobello. The photos taken in these places will remind the students an unforgettable experience and will be included in their journey diaries.

 

Second LTT meeting in Pleven, Bulgaria

From 27th February to the 3rd March two students and two accompanying teacher from out school took part in the second Learning, teaching and training activities in Bulgaria.

The meeting was held State School of Finance and Management “Intelect” in Pleven.

We enyojed five exciting days during which we worked a lot, learned a lot and had a chance to get to know our partners´ ountries in more datailed way.

Except the time spent at school we also visited beautiful places, cities and learned new facts from their history. We could admire historical sights in Lovetch, Veliko Turnovo and Sofia. We also analyzed the results of the meeting, perspectives and future activities after which we specified the dates of the future visits.

After five days spent in this country it was difficult to say goodbye to our friends and we are looking forward to seeing all of them at the next meeting in Slovakia.

 

 

First LTT meeting  in Villaviciosa, Spain

Two teachers and four students from our school visited Villaviciosa in Spain in January (16th -20th). We stayed with host families where we could experience traditional way of life, make new friends and feel the hospitality of native people.

On Monday students and teachers involved in the project gathered at school and viewed it. Then students presented their countries, native towns and schools using powerpoint or PDF presentations. During lunch break we could taste traditional Spanish meals.In the afternoon we visited the oil press in the village, admired vineyards and looked into small wine cellar.In the evening we were welcomed by the mayor of the village at the town hall.
Tuesday and Wednesday were a bit tiring but very exciting days on which we saw a lot of historical sights in Cordoba and Sevilla, like the Mosque, the Jewish Quarter and the Alcazar.

On Thursday we went hiking across the surrounding areas of the village. We had a wonderful time in spite of a cold weather. Then we enjoyed lunch at school, which was prepared by host families. Great paella served in huge pans will stay in our minds forever. In the afternoon a photographic contest “ Bridges among cultures“ was held. Students could choose one of their photographs taken in Spain and describe it, noticing similarities or differences with own country.

On Friday the partners discussed the results of the week and agreed on tasks for future visit in Bulgaria.
