Maxim´s journey diary

Monday:

Me and my host, José, woke up at 8am. We had a small breakfast, brushed our teeth, and at 8:30am we went to the school. We sat there for 45 minutes doing nothing and then we moved to the village theatre, where we presented our presentations, country by country. We also had a coffee break at the theatre. Then, at 12am we went to the school again, for lunch. We ate some local Spanish food, which I don’t remember the name of. We stayed there until 2:30pm. Then we went to a local wine cellar, which is still active. It was pretty far too. We got a basic presentation of how is wine made. Then we went to the town hall, where we met the mayor of the village, who gave us all some Spanish books. Then at 6pm we went to our host houses, had a dinner, a shower, and went to the bar again. At 9:30pm we came back, had another dinner, and went to sleep.

Tuesday

Today we woke up earlier than yesterday, because today was a trip day. We woke up at 7:30am, had a little breakfast and the usual morning routine. We set off at 7:50am and at 8am we were in the bus. DIRECTION CORDOBA! The journey took about an hour and a half. In Cordoba, we first visited the mosque with the cathedral inside of it. Then we visited the jewish quarter, and after that we had 45 minutes of free walking around the mosque area. I think at 1pm or maybe later we went for a lunch to a local restaurant, which I didn’t really like. After lunch we visited the Alcazar, which I loved. But the stairs in Alcazar gave us all huge cramps and we all decided that everything here is gorgeous, but it’s too much for one day. At 7 pm we boarded the bus and went home again. At 8.30pm we arrived at our house, ate dinner, and after an hour or two of talking went to sleep.

Wednesday

Today, we woke up earlier again. Trip day. Sevilla. We woke up at 7:30, had the morning routine, and by 8 we were sitting in the bus. This time, the journey took much longer. Two and a half hours, almost three. So, around 10am we arrived in Sevilla, and we went to the Alcazar right away. The Alcazar presentation took forever. I think it took almost 3 hours! So, after the presentation we went to a square of sorts where we were told to have a little walk around the area for an hour and a half. So of course, I went to burger king where I overate a little bit. After eating, we had another free 2 hours, so we bought souvenirs and all that stuff. At 6pm we boarded the bus and went home. Again, a little dinner, being on the computer for a while, and going to sleep completely tired.

Friday

We woke up very early, I think it was 7 am. I had a small breakfast, packed my bags, said goodbyes. Today was the leaving day. My host family took me to the Cordoba train station, where I met my teachers and classmates. We said goodbye to everyone, and we boarded the train to Malaga. We had still had around 3 hours to our plane so we bought some souvenirs and food and stuff like that. Then we went to the airport, and boarded the plane at 3pm I think. We arrived in Vienna at 6pm where our minibus took us and drove us to our city. I arrived home at 9pm. Overall, I loved the stay in Spain, and would repeat it again.
